Blending traditional Celtic roots with contemporary rock, bluegrass, cajun, world music and folk rock influences, Amadaun provides a fresh and energetic take on Irish music. Strong vocal harmonies, compelling arrangements and instrumentation, driving rhythms and a depth of knowledge and experience lend the group their unique sound and style.

Originally formed in 1995, in a different time and under a different name (The Balladeers) on a shaky stage in the smoky, overcrowded confines of Hennessey's Pub in Morristown, NJ, this group of veteran performers has been playing their hearts out for audiences both large and small for "many's the year." A high energy fusion of traditional Celtic styles and modern rock influences combined with exceptional vocal and instrumental talent yields an eclectic, electric night of Irish music.

After a few years off pursuing individual musical projects and conforming to the rigors of the real world (i.e. marriage, kids, mortgages, etc...) the band is back bringing you the best of Christy Moore, The Saw Doctors, Great Big Sea, The Pogues, and much, much more. Come on out, grab a pint and "play the fool" with amadaun.

In addition to touring and performing throughout the northeast, we are proud to be the house band for St. James Gate Pub at the fabulous Sands Casino and Resort in Bethlehem, PA. We have the pleasure of holding forth every Thursday evening from 7PM to 11PM. If you're looking for a great night out in the middle of the week, come on down and be sure to say hello.
